JEE Main Session 1 Exam day Dress Code and Instructions 2023
Between January 24 and February 1, 2023, the National Testing Agency will administer the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) exam. Candidates who have registered and are looking for admission to a variety of programmes, including BE, BTech, BArch, and BPlanning, will be permitted to take the exam if they strictly adhere to the exam day instructions issued by the official agency.
There will be 290 cities in India and 18 cities outside of India where the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam will take place. The NTA will schedule the tests for the BE and BTech JEE Main on various dates, including January 24, 25, 29, 30, 31 and February 1, 2023, while the exams for the BArch and BPlanning courses will take place on the second shift of January 28, 2023.
Additionally, it is advised that candidates who will be taking the JEE Main 2023 exam starting on January 24 download and print the entire JEE Main 2023 admit card. Entry to the centres without an admission card is prohibited.

According to the board’s examination standards, participants taking the JEE Main 2023 exam are required to present their admit cards and the self-declaration form on the exam day. Aspirants must comply to a specified set of guidelines at all times. Without their hall tickets, they won’t be able to enter the exam room.

Caps, scarves, stoles, and jewellery made of metal are the only items that are prohibited in the JEE Main 2023 uniform. However, it is essential that students dress appropriately for the season and the weather before participating in NTA JEE Main 2023.
Avoid wearing clothing with too many pockets. It's not permitted to wear a scarf, cap, dupatta, etc. Large-button clothing and shoes with heavy soles are not permitted.
Metallic clothing elements are not allowed. Belts, underwired bras, etc. are a few examples. It is best to wear a regular T-shirt with jeans or a top or kurta with leggings. It is necessary to prioritise cotton, Khadi, and other breathable textiles.
