NTA will issue the JEE Result 2023 in percentile because the exam was held in multiple shifts. While some aspirants may have an easy paper, others may have to answer more challenging questions in JEE Main 2023. To overcome this, the normalization process is performed to determine the All India rank based on the exam percentile score. The formula for calculating percentile rank is presented below.

As the exam was held in different shifts, NTA will release the NTA JEE result 2023 in percentile. Some applicants may have an easy paper, however, others may be required to answer more difficult questions in JEE Main 2023. To address this, the normalization procedure is used to compute the All India rank on the basis of the percentile score received in the exam. The formula for computing percentile score is shown below.
While preparing the JEE Main Result 2023, it occasionally happens that two or more students receive identical JEE Main scores. As a result, NTA uses the JEE Main 2023 tie-breaking criterion to provide a distinct All-India rank.

If two or more candidates get the same JEE Main 2023 scores in Paper 2B: B. Arch. then NTA uses the following factors in Ascending Order to resolve the Ties.
