JEE Advanced 2022 Important Update for Eligibility Criteria
JEE Advanced 2022 Important Update: The official notice stated “The candidates who have qualified for the higher secondary examination in the year 2020 or 2021 and registered for JEE Advance 2021 but did appear in both the papers i.e. Paper I and Paper II of JEE Advance in the same year are eligible to apply for JEE Advance 2022.” furthermore, the notice to candidates stated “Candidates register for JEE (Advanced) 2022 and pay the registration fee using the online registration portal. Furthermore, these students will be regarded in addition to, rather than as part of, the total number of candidates who will qualify JEE Main 2022 to appear in JEE Advance 2022”. JAB also stated in the notice that “These relaxations are one-time only special measures and these relaxations are given due to the hardships and unusual circumstances faced by students due to Covid-19 outbreak in the country”. Which meant the candidates are given an extra attempt for JEE Advance 2022 only this year, and it will not be further continued. This extra attempt is given because of hardships and exceptional circumstances faced by aspirants in the pandemic.

JEE Advanced 2022 – Updated Eligibility Criteria
On Twitter, JEE aspirants have requested an extra attempt and they have trend a Twitter hashtag #JEEAdvancedExtraAttempt. Hence, in response, the authorities have given a one-time special measure to JEE aspirants who have appeared in the class 12th examination for the first time in 2020 and are also eligible to appear for JEE Advance 2022 by qualifying JEE Main. The authorities have set two criteria for such candidates:
- The aspirants must have appeared once in JEE Advance conducted in either 2020 or 2021. Or the candidates have not appeared in both the JEE Advance conducted in 2020 and 2021.
- These applicants must have taken JEE Main 2022 and secured the cut-off score for JEE Advance 2022 in their particular category among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (all categories).
Furthermore, the notice stated that the candidates will be eligible to appear in JEE Advance 2022 only if JEE Advance 2022 is their first or second attempt. The candidates will not be allowed to take JEE Advance 2022 if they have appeared in the class 12th exam before 2020. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for JEE Advance 2022 more than twice. These candidates must validate their eligibility for JEE Advance 2022 by visiting the official website @https://jeeadv.ac.in and filling out the necessary details during the registration process.
