About NTA IIT JEE Main 2021

NTA IIT JEE Main 2021 April and May sessions have been postponed due to the ongoing Covid crisis in the country till further notice. NTA is planning to reschedule IIT JEE Main 2021 in July and August respectively. The registration for JEE Mains 2021 has for the May session has also been delayed. NTA a has stated that a new schedule for both the session will be issued 15 days prior to the exams on the official website “” and ““.

JEE Main (Joint Entrance examination) is a National Level Entrance Exam for UG Engineering and Architecture courses in the prestigious colleges all across the country that are 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, 29 Other- GFTIs and, IIEST.

IIT JEE Main 2021: Eligibility Criteria

  • According to the New Policy issued by NTA, the min 75% score in the 12th board has been removed.
  • Those candidates who have passed the 12th boards in 2019, 2020, or 2021 will be eligible to appear in the examination.
  • Candidates are allowed to appear for 3 consecutive years in the exam.
  • Candidates must have scored at least 50% score in mathematics and 50% in aggregate QE to appear for B. Planning Paper.
  • Candidates should have chosen PCM as core subjects for the 12th

IIT JEE Main 2021: Counselling

  • JoSAA is the counseling body that allots the seats in the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government funded colleges to the candidates according to their ranks
  • For Self-Funded Technical Institutes seat allocation is done via CSAB SFTI.
  • CSAB NEUT (the North Eastern States and Union Territories).
