There is an extremely important update for class 12th students who had appeared for the board exams conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education. As per the latest update from the board, the process of answer sheet evaluation has commenced, and pretty soon the HP Board Results 2020 will also be declared.
The process of evaluation will be conducted at home with distribution and collection centers for the answer sheets have been set-up across the state. More importantly, the board has also decided to award grace marks to the class 12th students.
HP Board Results 2020: Evaluation process
The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has given out detailed guidelines regarding the evaluation process to be followed by the teachers. Instead of conducting a centralized evaluation this year, the board has decided for home evaluation. Herein, teachers will be able to take the answer sheets to their home for evaluation and then after completing the evaluation, will return them to the answer sheet collection center.
As per the guidelines of the board, teachers will be provided with 40 answer sheets for Home Science paper and Matric Art (A) along with 30 answer sheets for matric and class 12th papers for evaluation. Detailed guidelines regarding awarding grace marks have already been issued by the board.
HP Board Results 2020: Details of grace marks to be awarded
As per the official notification issued by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, students of class 12th will be awarded grace marks in the following subjects, i.e. Chemistry, Accountancy, Biology, Business Studies, and Chemistry.
The details of the grace marks to be awarded are as follows: –
- 3 grace marks for students who have attempted Biology Series C question paper and 1 grace mark for students who have attempted Biology Series, B Question Paper.
- 2 grace marks for students who have attempted Accountancy Series, C Question Paper.
- 4 grace marks for students who have attempted Business Studies Series B question paper.
- 3 grace marks for students who have attempted Science series A question paper and 5 grace marks for students who have attempted Science series B question paper. Moreover, students who have attempted the ‘or’ part of question 27 will get 1 grace mark each.
Additionally, it has also been notified that all the students of class 12th will be awarded the grace marks even if they have not attempted the respective question. But there is one condition to this wherein the total marks for the students should not exceed 60 under any circumstances.
