CUET 2023 Score and Rank Calculation System

AS CUET 2023  exam is administered over Nine phases from 21 May to 23 June 2023.NTA has implemented a normalization procedure that determines percentile.
The following stages are part of the computations required to calculate the CUET 2023 score.

Step 1: Your raw CUET UG Result 2023 scores will be converted to percentile scores. The student’s raw score is the total of their marks from the CUET 2023 examinations.

Step 2: The percentiles for each shift are calculated separately. It will record how many applicants showed up for each shift and group them all according to descending grades. The greatest percentile of a single session is taken into account.
For instance, if a student’s highest grade is 99 out of 100, the percentile would be 100.

Step 3:The percentage score may include up to 7 decimal places. This is done in order to calculate the precise score.

Step 4:Before determining each candidate’s percentile score, take note of their raw scores. The normalization process calculates each candidate’s percentile based on their raw score as a basis for determining the ranks

How to Calculate CUET 2023 Rank?

NTA announced CUET UG Result 2023 on 15 July 2023 along with CUET Cutoff 2023. Admission will be given consideration to those who meet the minimum cut-off set by the National Testing Agency. The Class 12 grade point average and the CUET score will be used to create the CUET rank list for 2023. Class 10+2 marks would only be given 30% weight, whereas CUET scores will account for 70%.Receptive universities will announce the participation colleges’ individual merit lists. To evaluate and create the CUET Rank List 2023, the weightage is calculated as follows:

  1. 30% of the qualifying degree course or Class 10th and 12th
  2. 70% of the CUET Result 2023

CUET 2023 Ranking System- Normalization Process

CUET 2023 exams were administered to students between May 21st and june 23, 2023, in Nine phases. The marking formula and normalization procedure for the CUET UG Result 2023 was announced by NTA on 15 July 2023. Because the exam was conducted in many different fields, the marking scheme must take the students’ grades into consideration for admissions.

The “Equipercentile Method,” which was devised, compares each candidate’s raw scores to those of other candidates taking the same exam to determine their percentile.

These percentiles will be equalized and converted into normalized marks after this is completed for each of the six sessions. Sessions with fewer candidates and sessions with more candidates will be combined.

Total percentile (100) = (Number of candidates that participated in the session and had a raw score that was less than or equal to the total percentile) / (Total number of candidates appeared in the session)

  5. If all of the answers are found to be correct, everyone who attempted the question will receive five (+5) marks.
  6. If a question is found to be erroneous, if none of the options are found to be valid, or if both are found to be incorrect, all candidates who attempted the dropped question will earn five marks (+5).

CUET 2023 Ranking System- Tiebreaker

If two or more applicants with the same percentile apply to the same college and branch, the next step would be taken as a tiebreaker.

In the case that two students with identical CUET scores select the same college and course as their first choice, their Class 12 board scores or the percentage will be used as a tiebreaker for the seat allocation.
