The extended lockdown across the country will soon be entering the third month. Ever since the nationwide lockdown was announced in March, all educational activities have come to a standstill. Schools and colleges are shut, admissions have been facing issues, and the exams have been postponed. As a result, students and their parents are facing a lot of uncertainty regarding the future. The major problem is for class 12th students whose exams had to be stopped midway due to the lockdown. There is now finally some positive news for the class 12th students in Manipur.
As per the latest announcement by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, a decision has been taken to conduct the pending exams for class 12th students in Manipur. As per the schedule released by the council on its official website, the exams will be conducted over a period of two days i.e. 6th July 2020 and 7th July 2020. CHSE 12th Class Exams 2020: Details Announced By The CHSE
The notice issued by the CHSE reads that, “All the concerned Supervising Officers, Officers-in-Charge, Principals, etc. of the respective Examination Centres are informed to make necessary preparation for smooth and fair conduct of the examination. Further, all the S.Os. and the O.Cs are requested to submit the used answer scripts of the candidates on or before July 8, 2020.” The further guidelines issued by the council clarified that the exams would be conducted in a single shift in both days i.e. from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM.
- On 6th July 2020, exams will be conducted for Drawing, Sociology, Engineering, and Thang-Ta.
- On 7th July 2020, exams will be conducted for Elective English, Elective Bengali, Elective Manipuri, and Elective Hindi
As the dates are now officially declared by the council, students must resume their exam preparations with the help of available online and offline learning resources.
CHSE 12th Class Exams 2020: Guidelines For Students
Students have been instructed by the board to take all precautions necessary in the wake of the threat posed by Coronavirus. This includes wearing face masks at all times, carrying hand sanitizer in transparent bottles, observing the social distancing norms specified by the authorities.
There is a specific guideline for parents as well from the council that specifies that parents must ensure that their child is not sick and they must educate the children about the precautions necessary in the wake of Coronavirus infection.
Due to the lockdown, all exams for class 11th and 12th students between 20th March to 30th April 2020 were cancelled. Moreover, the work of evaluation of the answer sheets was also halted. But on 23rd April 2020, the task of evaluation of answer sheets resumed. All precautions necessary in the wake of the Coronavirus infection are being taken.
