CBSE Term 1 Practical Exam 2021- 2022 for Class 10 and 12 Date

CBSE Term 1 Practical Exam 2021- 2022 for Class 10 and 12: CBSE term 1 practical exams will be conducted by the respective schools. The term 2 practical exams will be conducted by the CBSE Board officials. The board has directed the schools to set the examination dates before the term 1 examination commences.

All the schools must complete the practical exams before the exams are started for term 1. Once term 1 ends, the schools are supposed to upload the examination score of all the students to the online portal.

The scores will be cumulated at the end of term 2 examinations by the board officials so that the final board exam results are declared. Previous year CBSE was not able to conduct the theory examinations due to the pandemic. All the students were promoted based on the evaluation criteria.

CBSE Term 1 practical exam Dates 2021-2022 for Class 10 & 12

Below are the class-wise- expected practical exam topics for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Students can practise these practical topics so that they can score 100% marks in the practical exams for Term 1 board exams.

Class 12 Physics practical’s for CBSE Term 1 Board exams (Expected)

1.       To determine the resistivity of two / three wires by plotting a graph between potential difference versus current

2.       To determine the resistance of a galvanometer by half-deflection method and to find its figure of merit

3.       To convert the given galvanometer (of known resistance and figure of merit) into a voltmeter of desired range and to verify the same

Class 12 Chemistry practical’s for CBSE Term 1 Board exams (Expected)

A. Chromatography
 A. Separation of pigments from extracts of leaves and flowers by paper chromatography and determination of Rf values.
B. Separation of constituents present in an inorganic mixture containing two cations only (constituents having a large difference in Rf values to be provided).
a. Preparation of Inorganic Compounds Preparation of double salt of Ferrous Ammonium Sulphate or Potash Alum. Preparation of Potassium Ferric Oxalate.
B. Tests for the functional groups present in organic compounds: Unsaturation, alcoholic, phenolic, aldehydic, ketonic, carboxylic and amino (Primary) groups.
 C. Characteristic tests of carbohydrates, fats and proteins in pure samples and their detection in given foodstuffs.
D. Determination of concentration/ molarity of KMnO4 solution by titrating it against a standard solution of Oxalic acid, Ferrous AmmoniumSulphate (Students will be required to prepare standard solutions by weighing themselves).

Class 12 Biology practical’s for CBSE Term 1 Board exams (Expected)

1.       Collect and study soil from at least two different sites and study them for texture, moisture content, pH and water holding capacity. Correlate with the kinds of plants found in them.
2.       Collect water from two different water bodies around you and study them for pH, clarity and presence of any living organism.
3.       Study the effect of different temperatures and three different pH on the activity of salivary amylase on starch
4.       Study the plant population frequency by the quadrat method.

CBSE Term 1 practical exam Evaluation Scheme for Class 10 and 12

The students will be evaluated in the practical’s based on the below-given structure. The board practicals will be of 15 marks in the first term. The rest 15 marks will be evaluated on the second term board exams. The total marks for the board practical exams are 30 marks.
