CBSE Latest Exam News About Class 10 Results Delayed, Now Expected In July 2021

CBSE latest exam news about Class 10 Results has been delayed, Schools are asked to submit the marks by June 30 to the Board

CBSE Latest Exam News, New Delhi: Earlier the CBSE officials had said that the  CBSE  class 10 board results would be declared on June 20, 2021. But as for now, the CBSE latest exam news is that class 10th board results have been delayed.


The Central Board of Secondary Education made the latest update on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, regarding the result declaration of class 10th results.

Previously, the board has asked all the CBSE affiliated schools to update the marks of the students by May 25, and then the marks were to be submitted to CBSE by June 5.

But for now, the marks update duration from schools has been extended till June 30 and this official notice has been released on its website. There are 18 lakh students who are going to be evaluated on the basis of a new system of assessment.

A sudden extension was given to schools, as the Delhi government had requested the CBSE to extend the deadline for marks submission. “The decision has been taken due to ongoing Covid-19 crisis which has created uncertain disturbances in the country and hence the only possible solution was to extend the deadline,” said Sanyam Bhardwaj, controller of examination, CBSE.

Previously the results of the class 10th board were to be declared by June 20, but now the result declaration has been delayed till further official statement is made.


CBSE latest exam news about Class 10th New Marking Scheme

CBSE’s latest exam news for class 11 students: “New sets of guidelines for the fresh academic session for class 11th has already been updated and schools are free to start the online classes for the students as per their convenience. The delayed declaration for the CBSE class 10th results won`t be impacting the student`s academic cycle” further added Bhardwaj.

The basic break-up of marks for evaluation as provided by the board are as follow:

  • Internal Assessment- 20 marks
  • Periodic / unit test- 10 marks
  • Mid- term examination- 30 marks
  • Pre-board examination- 40 marks


Important extraction: “If any of the students couldn`t appear in any of the assessment test conducted by the school due to any circumstances, then the school have the authority to conduct an online or offline or a one to one telephonic assessment and the school management would have to record the documentary evidence”.
