CBSE class 10th boards new marking schemes for the academic session 2020-21

CBSE Exam News about New Marking Scheme for CBSE Class 10

The Central Board of Secondary Education generally used to conduct the class 10th board exams in the month of February or March. But the Covid-19 pandemic, this schedule has been changed. The latest update made by CBSE was about the change in marking schemes for class 10th students. CBSE has announced that there will be a 30% deduction from the usual syllabus for the academic year 2020-21 due to the Covid-19 crises.

CBSE has also launched the sample papers for respective subjects with new marking schemes for class 10th board students on their official portal www.cbse.gov.in.

CBSE exam news on New marking schemes for class 10th: All subjects

On Mon, May 10, 2021, CBSE has released a link on the e-Pariksha Portal 2021 that is going to be used for the upload of CBSE class 10th marks by the respective affiliated schools.

All the CBSE-affiliated schools need to upload the students` marks on the e-Pariksha Portal up to June 11, 2021. As per the earlier announcement made by CBSE, the 10th board exam results are likely to be announced by June 20, 2021.

CBSE exam news on class 10th new marking for Mathematics:

The mathematics question paper will be divided into two sections:

Section: A

  • This section will be divided into two divisions: I and II
  • Division, I will contain a total of 16 questions and internal choices within 5 questions will be provided
  • Division II will contain a total of 4 case study-based questions where each case study would be further divided into 5 case-based sub-parts. The student needs to attempt any 4 out of 5 sub-parts.

Section: B

  • There would be 6 questions of 2-marks each from question no. 21-26
  • There would be 7 questions of 3-marks each from question no. 27-33
  • There would be 3 questions of 5-marks each from question no. 34-36
  • The internal choice for 2 questions of 2 marks, 2 questions of 3-marks and 1 question of 5 marks will be available

What is the marking scheme of class 10th maths?

The exam pattern consists of four parts namely Part A, B, C, and D.80 marks will be awarded for 30 questions. These 30 questions will be a mixture of short questions, long questions, and MCQ’s

What is the pattern for 10th CBSE 2021?

The pattern for the 10th CBSE 2021 is that the science question paper will contain 27 questions. The total marks will be 80 and it will be divided into Part A and B. For Maths, it will be divided into four sections.
