CBSE Date Sheet 2020: Due to the nationwide lockdown in effect since March 2020, the class 10th and 12th board exams for the CBSE students had to be halted abruptly and then postponed indefinitely. As the lockdown kept on getting extended, it was not possible for the CBSE to conduct these exams and as such, the students were left staring at the uncertainty. But finally last week, the Human Resource Development Minister, Mr. Ramkesh Pokhriyal Nishank informed the students that the remaining exams for class 10th and 12th students would be conducted between 1st July 2020 to 15th July 2020. He had then tweeted that, “Only northeast students have to appear for class 10th exam and exam for only 12 subjects will be conducted for class 12th exam.”

This meant that class 10th students with examination centers in North-East Delhi who could not complete their exams due to the prevailing situation in the region only need to appear for the remaining exams. Other CBSE class 10th students from across India need not appear for the exams. Moreover, only the main 12 exams will be conducted for the class 12th students across India. While he had intimated the students about the exam dates, a specific exam timetable was not released.
CBSE Exams 2020: Announcement Marred by Multiple Delays
Now, finally, the exam timetable will be released by CBSE as the HRD Minister recently tweeted that, “Attention students! Releasing the date sheet for CBSE Board Examination for Class 10th and 12th today at 5.00 pm. Stay tuned for more details.” Initially, the date sheet was expected to be announced on 16th May 2020, but late that day HRD Minister informed that due to some technical issues, CBSE would release the date sheet on 18th May 2020. He tweeted that, “#CBSE is taking into consideration some additional technical aspects before finalizing the date sheets of the board exams of classes 10th and 12th, due to which, the date sheets will now be released by Monday, i.e. 18-05-2020. Inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.”
Now, as per the announcement from the HRD Minister, CBSE has now released the date sheet for class 10th and 12th exams.

CBSE Exams 2020: Evaluation of answer sheets started
The process of evaluation of the answer sheets has started for CBSE Exams 2020. The HRD Minister recently stated that, “3,000 CBSE schools in the country have been selected as evaluation centres. From these centres, more than 1.5 crore answer sheets will be sent for evaluation to the homes of teachers. This process will be completed in approx 50 days.”
Moreover, CBSE has directed the schools to conduct examinations for class 9th and 11th students who had failed during their previous attempts this year due to the numerous queries received from distressed parents. These exams could be conducted in online or offline mode by the schools.
