New Delhi: The Covid -19 cases have been surging rapidly since the end of March and since then all the activities have been put on hold for an uncertain period of time. One of them is the CBSE`s class 12th board exams. Earlier the CBSE`s board exams were postponed till the month of June. CBSE Board Exam News for class 12th Students 2021
This year the Covid-19 pandemic has hit almost four times worst than the last year that has made the opening of schools and colleges for the upcoming 2-3 months impossible.
This uncertainty of whether the exams should be postponed or canceled has affected not only the preparation of board exams of the students but also their mental health.
Some people are in the favour of cancelation of exams saying that “student`s health and life should be the primary concern” whereas some feel that “the board`s exams should be conducted if not on time but maybe once when things get better because board exams are the basis of career foundation for the students”.
With this ongoing clash of opinions, the board`s students have launched an online campaign called “#savetheboardstudents”. They are demanding the board score calculation should be done like class 10th board exams. Many of them are tweeting and posting saying that writing board exams are next to impossible in this situation and appearing for board exams will be like committing suicide for the students.
However, CBSE is yet to make an official announcement about the board exams for class 12th. Amid this ongoing speculation, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has given two week`s time to CBSE`s officials and has asked them to review the current situation for these given two weeks time and to pass the final verdict about the exams.

CSBE is likely to make the final announcement on June 1.
The committee officials have said that there will be a notice given to the students 15 days prior to the exams and a revised date sheet schedule will also be issued for class 12th board exams on June 1st itself.
It is going to be interesting to see if CBSE is canceling the exams or would put any other alternative for the assessments.
