Latest Update! CBSE Boards Exams 2021: Final Decision will be taken within next two days, Centre govt to Supreme Court
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has heard the plea regarding CBSE and CISCE class 12th exams 2021 today at 11 a.m. The plea has been filed by advocate Mamta Sharma seeking cancellation for the board exams. Earlier the hearing on the petition had been adjourned till 31st May which has been extended till June 3rd now. A bench of Justices A M Khanwilker and Dinesh Maheshwari had asked the petitioner Advocate Mamta Sharma to serve advance copies of the petition to the Centre, CBSE & CICSE.
In today`s hearing Attorney General K K Venugopal has informed the bench of Justices A M Khanwilker and Dinesh Maheshwari that the final decision whether to conduct the CBSE & CICSE 12th board exams 2021 or not will be taken within the next two days.
In response to this, the Supreme Court has said that “No issue. You take the decision. You are entitled to it. If you are departing from the policy of last year, then you must give tangible reasons for it”.
According to plea filled, “ Conducting exams during the Covid Crisis in any which mode be it offline, or online, or blend of both in the upcoming days and weeks is simply not possible and delaying exams will cost the future of the students with irreplaceable loss as they won`t be eligible to take admission in foreign Universities without the board results.

CBSE to make the final decision regarding class 12 board exams by June 1 whereas CISCE has asked the affiliated schools to update the average marks obtained by class 12th student in class 11 for this session by June 7. However, there is no clarity regarding the cancellation of the CBSE & CICSE Class 12th exam yet. Students will have to wait till June 3.
