CBSE 12th Sociology Term 1 Exam: Board Acknowledges Inappropriate Question

CBSE 12th Sociology Term 1 Exam: Board acknowledges inappropriate question: Central Board of Secondary Education has conducted CBSE 12th Exam 2021. On 1st December 2021. The exam was conducted for the Sociology subject, the multiple-choice questions were asked in the board examination for higher secondary.  The CBSE Sociology paper was conducted from 11.30 am to 1 pm on 1st December 2021. Even though questions have mistakes and one question is inappropriate but the exam was easy.

CBSE 12th Sociology Term 1 Exam Level

The students given the CBSE 12th Sociology paper found it easy and doable despite mistakes in options of MCQs and questions students have found it easy. One of the who have taken the exam on 1st December 2021 has said that the paper was easy and one could easily answer 40/40 questions despite having mistakes in questions. 

One of the subject matter experts of Social Science has said, the paper was overall easy but two of the questions were tricky. From 4 Assertion reasoning-type questions, one question was ambiguous and one question was incomplete. The subject matter experts also state that CBSE could have increased the level of questions and could have asked questions from the specific topics that are useful in higher studies. 

CBSE 12th Sociology Term 1 Exam: Wrong (inappropriate) Question

A question about the Gujarat Riots of 2002 has been asked in the exam, the question was under which government the Gujarat riots took place. Soon after, the exam CBSE has issued an official statement regarding CBSE 12th Sociology Term 1 Exam inappropriate question.

In an official statement, the Central Board of Secondary Education has stated that “A question has been asked in today’s class 12 sociology Term 1 exam which is inappropriate and in violation of the CBSE guidelines for external subject experts for setting question papers.CBSE acknowledges the error made and will take strict action against the responsible persons”.

This means either CBSE will delete “inappropriate question” or give marks to all the students. Thus, students having stress about “inappropriate question” can relax now.
