NIOS 10th 12th Result 2020 to be Declared by 7th August: There is an important piece of news for all the students who had appeared for their class 10th and 12th exams conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). As per the latest update shared by NIOS, the results for class 10th and class 12th students will now be declared on 7th August 2020. 

The results will be declared on the official website of NIOS @www.nios.ac.in. The result is being declared in conformation to the orders of the Supreme Court. Along with the announcement of the NIOS 10th 12th Result 2020, the notification also officially announced the cancellation of the pending exams which NIOS wanted to conduct from 17th July 2020 onwards.

NIOS 10th & 12th Board Marking Scheme to be Followed

Students would be awarded the marks for NIOS 10th 12th Result 2020 based on the following marking scheme specified by NIOS: –

  • Senior secondary and secondary students who have last time performed in 4 subjects will be awarded marks based on the best of three subjects for theory exams this year.
  •  Senior secondary and secondary students who have last time performed in 3 subjects will be awarded marks based on the best of two subjects. This is subject to the student who has registered for the same subjects in the exams this year as well.
  • Senior secondary and secondary students who have last time performed in 1 or 2 subjects will be awarded marks based on the average of the last three public exams.
  • Students who have registered for the first time, their practical marks or tutor-marked assignment will be taken into consideration along with the performance in the last three public exam subjects for which they have registered but which could not be conducted. UP Board 10th and 12th Compartmental Exam 2020: There is extremely important news for all the students who had appeared for their class 10th and 12th board exams conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Board. All those students who had either failed in one or more subjects can now apply for the compartment and improvement exams, respectively.

Students who have failed in one subject will have to appear for the improvement exam while the students who have failed in two or more subjects will have to register for the compartmental exam. The UP Board has issued a notification on its official website stating that the application process for the UP Board 10th & 12th Compartmental Exam 2020 has officially commenced on the website of the board.

UP Board Compartmental Exam Application 2020 to be submitted through the school

While the application process for UP Board Compartmental Exam 2020 has been started online, students will need to get in touch with their respective schools for completing the online application process. The school authorities have been instructed to complete the online application forms and pay the application fee between 5th August 2020 to 20th August 2020 on the board’s website. No extension will be provided under any circumstances.

It has been notified by the UP Board that students who have failed in one subject can appear for the improvement exam but the students who have failed in two or more subjects must register for the compartmental exams. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that all those students who have excelled in the class 12th exams conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board will be given laptops. He tweeted, “The scheme of supplying laptops to the meritorious students of Madhya Pradesh is being started again. Move aimed to encourage the students

The decision to provide free laptops to the meritorious students in the state is being seen as a move which is aimed to reward the meritorious students for their performance and to encourage other students to study harder during the exams, so that next time they can also win the free laptops. Class 10th students who will be appearing for the Gujarat Board Supply Exam 2020 to be conducted in August 2020, must note the below mentioned important details: –

  • The supplementary exams for class 10th students will commence from 25th August and will end on 28th August 2020.

Class 12th students who will be appearing for the Gujarat Board Purak Pariksha Exam 2020 to be conducted in August 2020, must note the below mentioned important details: –

  • The supplementary exams for 18 subjects for science students will commence from 25th August and will end on 27th August 2020.  
  • The supplementary exams for general stream students will be held only on 23rd August 2020.

CBSE Revolution And Verification: Application Date, Fees & Timing

Here are the important details pertaining to the verification and revaluation process as mentioned by the CBSE: –

  • The applications for the verification process will be accepted from 23rd July onwards till 24th July 2020. The students will have to pay a fee of Rs. 500 per subject for verification.
  • The result of the verification process will be made available on the website of CBSE. In case of any changes, the result will be communicated through the post as well.
  • The timeline to apply for a photocopy of the answer sheet has been announced as 1st August to 2nd August 2020. The fee payable is Rs. 700 per subject.
  • The timeline to apply for revaluation will start from 6th August 2020 and will end by 7th August 2020.
  • For all the processes, the last date for submission of application is 5 PM on the last day.

Rajasthan & Haryana Board Reduced Syllabus 30%: Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced a reduction of 30% in the syllabus for students studying in classes 9th to 12th, in order to reduce the burden on students due to the schools being closed because of the lockdown. Now, taking a cue from the CBSE, state governments of Haryana and Rajasthan have also decided to reduce the syllabus for students studying in classes 9th to 12th. Haryana Board to Reduce Syllabus:

While interacting with the media, the education minister of Haryana, Mr. Kanwar Pal stated that, “The state government is taking this step to reduce mental pressure on students. The syllabus shall be reduced for these three classes in the present academic session of 2020-2021.”

He also added, “Schools remained closed across the country and state during the lockdown amid COVID-19 pandemic due to which holding of regular classes in the classrooms was not possible. Although the state government has made adequate arrangements to impart online education. Rajasthan Board to Reduce Syllabus

The education minister of Rajasthan, Mr. Govind Singh Dostara also informed the media that as there is a shortage of working days, the syllabus is being reduced for students studying in classes 9th to 12th. He tweeted that, “Due to coronavirus outbreak there is a shortage in the working days of the schools, so the Directorate of Secondary Education, Bikaner has directed the Board of Secondary Education Ajmer and RSCERT Udaipur in this regard to decide reduction in the syllabus on the interest of the learners.” He also added that a final decision regarding this matter will be taken soon by the state government.

As the pandemic has resulted in the forced shutdown of schools since the last several months, it is expected that other education boards across the country will also take a cue from CBSE and will reduce the syllabus for class 9th to 12th students, to reduce mental pressure that the students are facing.

CBSE Board New Syllabus 2020-21: Details Revealed by The Minister

The minister further added that “Considering the importance of learning achievement, it has been decided to rationalize syllabus up to 30 percent by retaining the core concepts.” The course curriculum has been reduced while ensuring that the core elements of the curriculum are retained. He also stated that the changes in the course syllabus have been finalized by the course committee for each subject after receiving approval from the governing body of the board and the curriculum committee.
