Best Teacher Award 2020: All India Council for Technical Education has organized a teacher honoring ceremony on 15th September 2020. AICTE is organizing Best Teacher Awards for the first time on the birth anniversary of M Visvesvaraya, the father of Engineering in India. 

Best Teacher Award 2020: Engineering Day

Mokshgundam Visvesvaraya was the Diwan of Mysore from 1912 to 1915. He was a Bharat Ratna, an Indian Civil engineer and a statesman. Engineer’s Day is celebrated every year on 15 September to mark his birth anniversary. He was also a renowned precursor of Economic Planning in India. He was a knight commander of the British Empire. He also worked as a Chief Engineer at flood control system in the city of Hyderabad. Check | NCERT Solutions

Visvesvarya Teacher Awards on 15th Sept. 2020

AICTE in order to present honour and to pay gratitude to the hard work of teachers of the country is organizing the Best Teacher Award for the very first time in our country. For this AICTE invited applicants from all over the country till 31 August 2020. Applicants need to submit the entries at visvesvaraya.aicte-india.org. It announced that they will present 20 awards to Best teachers on 15th September 2020. Along with this, all teachers will be presented with 25000 INR cash and a badge and a certificate of excellence. AICTE further announced that they will announce the results of the ‘M Visvesvaraya Best Teacher Award’ on 15th September 2020.

This movement by AICTE will encourage young teachers to keep going and keep doing the hard work. Teachers have worked for centuries without any selfish motive. They have worked for generations making others successful. This appreciation will act as a gratitude token from every student of the country. It will encourage them to update with increasing technology and development in every field of education. Teacher’s need respect and love for what they do and what they offer.
