Partition Horror Remembrance Day: August 14th

August 14 will be observed as the day remembering the partition pain unleashed on people who fought during the Independence of India. He said that partition pain can never be forgotten; the way our brothers and sisters sacrificed their lives so that we can live in a free India.

Millions were displaced and lost their lives in the wake of freedom. The honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, wishes that the #PartitionHorrorsRembranceDay keeps reminding the general public of the poison of social divisions, disharmony, and strengthens the spirit of unity, social harmony, and human empowerment.

India’s last viceroy, Lord Mountbatten announced on June 3rd, 1947 that India will be splitting after attaining its freedom. The partition plan was known as the Mountbatten Plan. The autonomy and sovereignty were handed over to both the nations, India and Pakistan.

Millions died and were displaced during the wars that took place after the announcement of the partition plan. During the violence of the partition, thousands of girls and women were raped and abducted by both Nations.

India attained freedom on 15th August 1947. In 2021, we all will be celebrating our 75th Independence Day. The Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was the leader of the Freedom Movement of India.

भारत के अंतिम वायसराय, लॉर्ड माउंटबेटन ने 3 जून, 1947 को घोषणा की कि भारत अपनी स्वतंत्रता प्राप्त करने के बाद विभाजित हो जाएगा। विभाजन योजना को माउंटबेटन योजना के नाम से जाना जाता था। स्वायत्तता और संप्रभुता दोनों देशों, भारत और पाकिस्तान को सौंप दी गई थी।

विभाजन योजना की घोषणा के बाद हुए युद्धों के दौरान लाखों लोग मारे गए और विस्थापित हुए। विभाजन की हिंसा के दौरान, दोनों राष्ट्रों द्वारा हजारों लड़कियों और महिलाओं का बलात्कार और अपहरण किया गया था।

15 अगस्त 1947 को भारत को आजादी मिली थी। 2021 को हम सभी अपना 75वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस मनाएंगे। राष्ट्रपिता, महात्मा गांधी, भारत के स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के नेता थे।
