SBI PO 2017 Mains Exam Analysis & Cut Off

A large number of candidates appeared for SBI PO Mains 2017 Exam today with the sole motive of joining this prestigious organization. Giving the Mains Exam has brought one more step closer to their dreams. Without much ado let’s have a look at today’s exam analysis that you all were waiting for eagerly.

The Mains Exam of SBI again proved its worth by setting up the most unexpected paper. The new pattern and questions were implicated in all the sections of this exam. It did put a really tough challenge for the candidates. There was no similarity with the last year’s SBI PO Mains Paper.

General Awareness was the only section that came as a relieving wind as there were no twisted questions asked in this section. It was relatively easy compared to other sections.

SBI PO Mains 2017 has two major parts: the objective test of 200 marks that has to be completed in a stipulated time of 3 hours and the descriptive paper of 50 marks that has to be completed in 30 minutes.

Data Analysis and Interpretation

This section constituted of 35 questions that had a total marks of 60 with a time limit of 45 minutes. Three sets of Data Interpretation were asked in this section. 4 questions from mesuration, 1 question from Mixture and Allegation and 1 question from Partnership were asked in this section.

Reasoning and Computer Aptitude

This section constituted of 45 questions for 60 marks. The time allotted to complete this section was 60 minutes. There was NO QUESTIONS ON COMPUTER APTITUDE THIS YEAR.

English Language

This section had 45 questions to be completed in 40 minutes. The total mark allotted to this section was 40.

General Awareness:

SBI did not experiment with this section and kept it simple for the candidates. Questions were from current affairs and were conventional. Questions related to Banking Sector were asked. The paper was General Awareness was thus comparatively easy. This section had 40 questions for 40 marks that had to be solved in stipulated time of 35 minutes.

Descriptive Test

This section had questions on letter writing and essay writing and was of 50 marks. The entire paper had to be written in 30 minutes.

Letter Writing (150 Marks)

a) Write a letter to your branch manager as you have deposited some amount but it is still not credited to your account.

b) Write a letter to the editor expressing your concern over impact of irrelevant news through social media.

c) Write a letter to your sibling giving them advice to stress and anxiety

Essay Writing

a) Write an essay on the positive and negative impact of technology

b) Write an essay on effect of social media and its consequences on our population
