RPF Syllabus 2018

Knowledge of RPF Syllabus 2018 is the key to start your preparation for the upcoming RPF Recruitment 2018. It is the first step taken to ace RPF Exam. Mentioned below are the topics asked in each section of RPF CBT Exam to help you prepare effectively for the Railway RPF Exam for the post of Constable & SI.

CBT will be conducted group-wise simultaneously for Constable and SI for all 6 groups one by one in following order

1. Group E: NF Railway

2. Group F: RPSF

3. Group A: S Railway, SW Railway and SC Railway

4. Group B: C Railway, W Railway, WC Railway and SEC Railway

5. Group C: E Railway, EC Railway, SE Railway and ECo Railway

6. Group D: N Railway, NE Railway, NW Railway and NC Railway

RPF Selection Process


Railway RPF Exam will be conducted in 4 different phases. RPF CBT Exam which is the first level of the exam will be conducted in 15 different languages namely Hindi, English, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. The various phases in which RPF 2018 Exam will be conducted are:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • Document Verification (DV)

    Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. A candidate needs to 1600 metre run (male) and 800 metre run (female) in a stipulated time to pass the exam. Similarly in PMT, a candidate must fulfill the criteria of height and weight. Remember the specifications are different for the post of Constable & Sub Inspector (SI).
