IBPS Clerk 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the criteria for educational qualification and Age Limit as per IBPS Clerk Notification.

Educational Qualifications

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet/ Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/ she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while applying online.

Computer Literacy

  • Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in computer operations/ Language/ should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.
  • Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/ UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
  • Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculated Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 09.10.2020.  Such certificates should be dated on or before 09.10.2020.

IBPS Clerk 2020 Selection Process

 No interview process is required for the selection of the post of Clerk. 100% weightage is given to the result of the mains exam result. Candidates who will qualify in Online Preliminary Examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Online Main Examination. IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern: Highlights

  1. There will be negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.

IBPS SO 2020 Notification

The IBPS SO Notification 2020 may be released in October 2020. Nationality

The candidate who is going to apply for IBPS SO 2020-21 exam should have citizenship of India issued by the government of India. The following candidates can also apply for the IBPS SO 2020-21 exam:

  • a subject of Nepal or
  • a subject of Bhutan or
  • a Tibetan Refugee, who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

IBPS Clerk Syllabus 2020 and Exam Pattern

IBPS Clerk exam is no different from any other bank exams. While IBPS issues only the broad subjects, they can be further sub-divided into individual topics, based on the questions that have appeared in the exams over the past few years. The IBPS Clerk syllabus has two papers. There is no interview for the IBPS Clerk Exam.
(i) IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam Syllabus: This comprises of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.

(ii) IBPS Clerk Mains Exam Syllabus: This comprises of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and an additional section of Computer Knowledge and General Awareness.

There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer in each test of the IBPS Exam 2020.

IBPS Clerk 2020 Exam Pattern For Prelims

The IBPS Prelims Exam is of 100 marks of 1-hour duration with 20 minutes for each section.

  • The Prelims Stage of IBPS PO will have three sections of a total duration of 1 Hour.
  • There will be a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Candidates will have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.
  • An adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination.

  • The IBPS Clerk Mains Exam will have a total of 190 questions with a duration of 160 Minutes.

  • Earlier, the Computer Aptitude and Reasoning Ability Section used to be conducted separately. But, as per the recent update by IBPS, both these sections have been amalgamated together constituting a total of 50 Marks.

IBPS Recruitment 2020: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released a notice for the revised exam date of the IBPS Recruitment 2020. IBPS has released 29 vacancies for faculty and non faculty posts. The posts for which the IBPS will recruit candidates are professor, research associate, Hindi officer, as well as,  technical posts for Analyst Programmer, IT Administrator, and more.

IBPS Clerk Mains Result 2020: IBPS has released the result of IBPS Clerk Mains exam on 20th May 2020, Wednesday. The wait of many candidates is over, as many candidates are anxiously waiting for the IBPS Clerk results. As per the previous years’ trend, the result was supposed to out on 01st April. But this year has been rare. Due to lock down imposed throughout the country from midnight of 24th March 2020 to contain the spread of COVID-19 corona virus, the result has been delayed, which is declared on 20th May 2020.

Trends of IBPS Clerk Exam

  1. Stages of the exam: The two stages of IBPS Clerk exam are discussed. It is important for the candidate to qualify both the exams in order to get recruited as Clerk.
    The two stages are:
    Prelims Examination
    Mains Examination
  2. If a Candidate qualifies Prelims examination only then he/she is eligible to give Mains Examination.
  3. No interview will be conducted for selecting candidates to the post of Clerk. Selection will be made purely on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in his/ her Mains Examination.
  4. Normalization of Marks: The process of equalizing the scores in an exam based on the varying difficulty levels is what comes under normalization. To maintain the same difficulty level, where there are exams taking place in various shifts, the overall scores are normalized, that is, they are rounded off till 2 decimal digits.
  5. Merit List: A merit list is prepared for the candidates, who are shortlisted after the final round. A waiting list is also made for 10% of tentative vacancies.
