Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has released an online application for the post of Head Constable (Ministerial) in Group- ‘C’ Non-Gazetted Ministerial (Cornbatised) in Sashastra Seema Bal, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. SSB Head Constable (Ministerial) is temporary, but it is likely to be continued. Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India or outside the territory of India and will be governed by SSB Act and Rules and other Rules amended from time to time.

SSB has released a total of 115 posts for the post of Head Constable (Ministerial), Of the total 115 posts,  47 positions are reserved for the general candidates while 26 others will be filled by Other Backward Caste (OBC), and 21 posts are for scheduled caste (SC), 11 for the scheduled tribe (ST), 11 also for economically weaker section (EWS), and 10 seats have also been reserved for ex-servicemen.

SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2021:  Pay Scale

Finally selected candidates will get a salary in the range of Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100.

Other Allowances: Above post carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, Washing Allowance, and any other allowances as admissible in SSB from time to time as per the order of Govt. of India. Candidates appearing in the examination/awaiting result/ not in possession of educational certificates need not apply. All educational certificates other than Central Board/State Board should be accompanied by Government notification declaring the equivalence of such qualification for service under Central Government (to be produced at the time of documentation).

Date of Birth and Name as recorded in Matriculation/10th class board certificate will be accepted for determining the age and name.

SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2021: Important Dates

UR, EWS, and OBC category candidates will require to pay an examination fee amounting to Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred) only through net-banking/ credit card/ debit card which will be non-refundable. However, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees.

How to Apply for SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2021?

1. Candidates can apply through online mode only, applications received through any other mode except shall not be accepted and rejected.
2. Candidates can apply through the link ssbrectt.gov.in.
3. The application form has three parts and candidates have to fill all three parts correctly.
4. Candidates have to fill in all the personal details such as name, father name, date of birth, etc. correctly in the first part.
5. In the second part, candidates have to ensure that they have uploaded photos and signatures correctly as per SSB guidelines.
6. Once photograph and scanned signature are uploaded. The “Upload” button is to be pressed. Once the uploading process is done successfully, then a page with Post Applied & Registration No. will be generated automatically.
7. The candidate will have to note down the registration number or take a printout of the Acknowledgement.
8. The candidate should note the registration/ application number for further reference.
9. In the third part, candidates have to pay the fee online. Candidates will have to pay the requisite fee as applicable for the posts through net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card of any bank/ challan of State Bank of India.
10. The candidate must take a printout of the application form after final submission for future reference.
11. The admit cards can be downloaded from the SSB Recruitment website which will have the information about the venue of PST, PET, written examination, skill test, Documentation, and Medical Examinations as applicable.

SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2021: Selection Process

The candidates will be judged on two parameters – a written test and a physical test. The written test is the first part and will be of 100 marks. The two-hour theory examination will test candidates’ general knowledge, maths, reasoning, and general English and Hindi. The candidates will also go through a medical test and documentation process before the written examination. Candidates who will clear the theory part will proceed with the physical test.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST):- PET & PST will be conducted at SSB locations by the Board of Officers detailed by SSB.

Physical Standard Test (PST): The Candidates who qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will have to undergo Physical Standard Test (PST).

SSB Head Constable Recruitment 2021:  Written Test

Common Entrance Test:- It shall be of 2 (two) hours duration and will be of 100 marks, consisting of 100 multiple choice objective type questions, focusing on General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, and General English/General Hindi.

Minimum qualifying marks will be-

50 % for General, EWS, OBC Ex-Servicemen

45 % for SC and ST

Skill/ Typing Test:- Based on the marks of written examination a call list of candidates up to 15 times (category wise) of vacancies shall be prepared for skill/ typing test subject to minimum qualifying marks as specified above.

Documentation: After the skill/typing test, candidates numbering up to 3 (three) times (category-wise vacancies) will be called for Documentation and Detailed Medical Examination which will be conducted.

The final merit list shall be drawn on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination (Common Entrance Test). The final result/selection list will be prepared in order of merit, category-wise, after completion of the Review Medical Examination.
