OSSTET Notification 2021: Apply Online For OSSTET Exam; Check Eligibility & Application Process

OSSETE Notification 2021 is out. Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has decided to conduct the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2021, to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the secondary schools of Odisha, one must pass the teacher eligibility test (TET).  The process of application for OSSTET 2021 shall be online only. OSSTET Exam Notification 2021: Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha is conducting the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) exam 2021. The eligible Indian citizens who can read and write in Odia can apply for OSSTET Exam 2021. OSSTET exam will be conducted once a year or as decided by the Government as per need. The online application process for OSSTET exam 2021 has already started and the last date to apply online is 13th July 2021. The OSSTET exam 2021 is qualifying in nature. How to Apply For OSSTET Exam 2021?

Given below are the steps to fill the OSSET Exam 2021, online application form.

Step 1: Visit the application website for OSSTET 2021 @bseodisha.ac.in or click on the direct link above.

Step 2: Click on New Registration to register for the first time.

Step 3: Enter all required details in the registration form and click on submit to generate the registration number and password.

Step 4: Log in to the website by using the registered email and password. Once successfully logged in, fill in your details

Step 5: Next step is to pay the application fee as per your category

Step 6: Click on final submission to submit the OSSTET Application Form 2021.

Step 7: Get more than one printout of the application form for future reference.

Here is the application fees for OSSTET Exam 2021:

OSSTET Exam 2021 -Eligibility Criteria:

A. General Eligibility: He or she must be a citizen of India.
B. Ability to Read and Write Odia: The candidate must be able to read and write in Odia. Any one of the following qualifications will be taken into consideration to ascertain this ability of the candidate

Category Educational Qualification
TGT (Science – PCM/ CBZ)

 

Bachelor’s degree in science with any two of the subjects (PCM) or (CBZ) as honours/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university and Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) from an institute recognized by NCTE.

Or,

Four years integrated degree in B.Sc.B.Ed from a recognised institute in PCM in CBZ as honors/optional/Elective/Pass with a minimum of 50% marks

TGT Arts Four years’ integrated B.A.B.Ed from an institute recognised by NCTE in any two ( English, Odia, Hindi & Sanskrit and History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography & Indian Polity) as optional/honours/elective/pass with a minimum of 50% marks.

Or,

Bachelor’s degree in arts/commerce in any two of the subjects ( English, Odia, Hindi & Sanskrit and History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Indian Economy, Landmarks in Indian History, Indian Geography & Indian Polity).

Hindi Teacher Candidates  must have a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% marks in one of the following subjects:a) Rastrabhasa Ratna from Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti, Wardha

 

b)  Shastri Hindi from Odisha Rastrabhasa Parisad, Puri

 

c) Snataka, from Hindi Shiksya Samiti, Odisha, Cuttack

Classical Teacher – Urdu B.A in the Persian language with an aggregate of 50% marks  and B.Ed from a recognised institute/university

 

Or,  Alim with the aggregate of 50% marks

Classical Teacher – Telugu Bachelor’s degree in arts with Telugu with 50% marks in aggregate alongside B.Ed.
Classical Teacher – Sanskrit Bachelor’s degree in/with Sanskrit as an optional/honours/elective/pass subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate alongside Siksha Shastri (Sanskrit) degree from a recognized institute.
Physical   Education Candidates must have passed class 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized institute with an aggregate of 50% marks and  B.P.Ed/M.P.Ed/C.P.Ed from a recognized board or university

OSSTET Exam 2021: Exam Pattern

I. There shall be two papers of the OSSTET viz Paper-I and Paper-II.
a) Persons having requisite academic and training qualifications as per Category-I have to appear in Paper –I of the Examination
b) Persons having requisite academic and training qualification as per Category–II have to appear in Paper-II of the examination.
II. The Duration of the Test in each paper shall be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
III. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) each carrying one mark with four alternatives out of which one is correct.
IV. There shall be no negative marking.

OSSTET Exam 2021 Cut Off Marks

The minimum pass mark in each paper is 60%. A person securing 60% or more in each paper shall be considered to have qualified OSSTET. In the case of SC/ ST/ PH/ SEBC candidates, the minimum pass mark shall be 50%.

Validity of OSSTET Certificate

The OSSTET Pass Certificate shall remain valid till the candidate reaches the upper age limit prescribed for recruitment of teachers as per rules or executive instructions prescribed by the Govt. from time to time
Number of Chances: There shall be no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring an OSSTET Pass certificate.
