Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualification
- Cinema Projectionist/Video Operator/Mech/Mixer/Photographer
(i) Matric or equivalent.
(ii) A certificate for operating Projector from a recognized Institute. - Stenographer Grade-II
(i) 12th pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
(ii) Skill Test Norms:- Dictation : 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m. and Transcription : 50 minutes (Eng), 65 minutes (Hindi) (on computer) - Lower Division Clerk
(i) 12th class pass from a recognized Board or University.
(ii) Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English on a computer or a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on the computer (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500/9000 key depressions per hour on an average of 5 key depressions for each word) - Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade)
(i) Matriculation.
(ii) Must possess the Civilian Driving licence for heavy vehicles and have two years experience of driving such vehicles. - Electrician:
Essential: (i) Matriculation (10th class Board Examination) from a recognized Board or Institution.
(ii) Certificate from Industrial Training Institute or National Council for Vocational Training in the trade of Electrician.
Desirable: Two years experience as an Electrician. - Cook:- (i) Matriculation or equivalent; and
(ii) Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and proficiency in trade. - Poster Maker
(i) Matriculation from a recognized Board or Institution

Essential:- Matriculation pass or equivalent from recognized Board with proficiency in Barber‟s trade job.
Desirable:- One year‟s experience in the trade. - Supervisor

Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or Institution. - Cycle Fitter
Essential: Matriculation (10th class Board Examination) from a recognized Board or Institution.
Desirable: Six month‟s experience as Cycle Mechanic
Age Limit
- Between 18 to 25 years for Cinema Projectionist/Video Operator/Mech/Mixer/Photographer, Stenographer Grade-II, Lower Division Clerk, Cook, MTS (Gardener), MTS (Watchman), MTS (Safaiwala), Barber and Fatigueman.
- Between 18 to 27 years for Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade), Poster Maker, Electrician, Supervisor, Overseer and Cycle Fitter.
Relaxation for age limit
- For SC/ST candidates applying for their reserved post will be given age relaxation up to 5 years. OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates will be given age relaxation for up to 3 years.
- For Persons with Disability under UR category 10 years, OBC (Non-creamy layer) category 13 years & SC/ST category 15 years.
- The SC/ST/OBC candidates who apply against an unreserved post will not be given age and other concessions meant for SC/ST/OBC
Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2021: Selection Process
The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. The selection process will comprise of written test and skill/physical/ practical/typing test wherever necessary. The selection to all Group C and Group D posts will be made solely based on marks obtained by the applicants in
the written test only subject to qualifying in the skill/physical/ practical/typing test, as may be the case
Application Fees
Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft worth Rs.50/-Â in favour of the Commandant, Army War College, Mhow.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST, if they are applying for the reserved category are exempted from application fee and Persons with disability and Ex-Serviceman are also exempted from application fee.

Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2021: Exam Pattern
The online examination will be of 150 Objective Multiple Choice Questions each scoring 1 mark. The question papers of the Written Test will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi. However, the questions on the portion of the English Language subject will be in English only

General Intelligence & Reasoning
The test may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate‟s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship arithmetical-computation and other analytical
functions.
General Awareness
The questions will be designed to test the ability of candidate‟s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The test will include questions relating to current events, India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc.
English Language
Candidates understanding the basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc. his/her writing ability would be tested.
Numerical Aptitude
This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, use of Table and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work etc.
