Lok Sabha Interpreter Recruitment 2020: The Lok Sabha has invited applications for the post of an Interpreter. Through this recruitment, the lok sabha will fill up a total of 12 vacancies. Lok Sabha Recruitment is being done to hire English/Hindi Interpreters and Regional Language Interpreters.
Candidates who are eligible to apply for the post of Interpreter may apply through e-mail only on or before 18 August 2020.

Loksabha Recruitment 2020: Eligibility Criteria
1. For English/Hindi Interpreters
1.1. Educational Qualification
Master’s degree in English with medium* of Hindi language upto Degree Level OR Master’s degree in Hindi with medium* of English language upto Degree Level.
1.2 Age Limit
Not More Than 27 years.
1.3 Desirable
(a) Experience in translation or interpretation work
(b) Certificate in computer course recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/National
Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by NIELIT.
2. For Regional Language Interpreters
2.1 Educational Qualification
Master’s degree in English or any other discipline (with English as a medium* of instruction) with regional language concerned upto Degree Level.
2.2 Age Limit
Not More Than 35 years.
2.3 Desirable
(a) Experience in translation or interpretation work
(b) Certificate in computer course recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)/ NationalInstitute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) or courses equivalent to ‘O’ Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by NIELIT.

Lok Sabha Recruitment 2020: Selection Process
The selection for the post of Lok Sabha Interpreter will include the following stages:
- Oration Test: Candidates will be subjected to an Oration test which will be of 200 marks.
- Written Test:Â
- Simultaneous Interpretation Test: (i) Regional Language Interpreters – from concerned language to English (10 Minutes) which will be of 200 Marks
(ii) English/ Hindi Interpreters – from English to Hindi (5 Minutes) of 100 Marks and from Hindi to English (5 Minutes) of 100 Marks. - Personal Interview: The personal interview will carry 50 Marks
Qualifying Marks For Lok Sabha Interpreter Recruitment
The minimum cut off percentages of marks in Written Test and Personal Interview in an examination is as follows:
50% for UR/EWS
45% for OBC and
40% for SC/ST categories
These percentages are the minimum marks that a candidate is required to secure in each paper/component and aggregate in the Written Test and in aggregate in the Personal Interview.
In Oration Test and Simultaneous Interpretation Test, all candidates will be required to secure minimum 50% marks in each component/parameter. However, the cut-off percentages may be raised in individual component/paper/aggregate to arrive at a reasonable vacancy: candidate ratio.
