Karnataka TET Exam Pattern 2021
Like any other TET Exam, Karnataka TET also has two papers conducted for recruiting eligible teachers in Karnataka.
- Paper 1: If qualified makes a person eligible to teach from Class I to Class V.
- Paper 2: If qualified makes a person eligible to teach from Class VI to Class VIII.
KAR TET Paper 1 Exam Pattern 2021
Paper 1 Exam Pattern for Karnataka TET consists of topics on Child Development, Basic Math and Environment. The main languages include Language 1, to be Kannada and Language 2, has to be English which is to be covered. The total number of questions asked in Karnataka TET is 30, which carries 5 marks for each question asked, which sums up to 150 marks in all. The total time provided to the candidates for the exam is 150 minutes that is 2 hours 30 minutes. The questions remain relevant to the syllabus of the NCERT / State for classes I – VIII.

Paper 2 Exam Pattern
Another paper that the candidate needs to qualify for is Paper 2 The exam Pattern for Karnataka TET consist of topics on Child Development, Basic Math and Environment. Language 1, being Kannada and Language 2, being English is also covered. The total number of questions from each topic is 30, carrying equal marks, that sum up to a total of 150. The questions remain relevant to the age group of 11-14 years.

Qualifying Marks in KAR TET Exam
- In the case of the General category, candidates who have scored more than 60% will be considered eligible for the exam.
- For SC/ST/C-1, differently-abled persons, 55% of marks will be considered eligible.
- No GRACE MARKS will be given to any of the questions deleted.
- The Validity Period of the KARTET 2021 qualifying certificate has been extended to lifetime.
- There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a KARTET Certificate
Karnataka TET Marking Scheme
- +1 for each correct answer.
- All questions carry equal marks.
- There is no negative marking in the Karnataka TET exam, like any other Teachers eligibility test.
