IIT Kanpur Recruitment 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying online for IIT Kanpur Recruitment 2021 must have the following qualifications:

  1. Deputy Registrar
    • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent B Grade in UGC 7-point scale along with 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar/9 years of experience as Assistant Professor/Equivalent experience in research establishment.
    • Candidate should have leadership qualities and requisite experience in Accounting, Auditing and Final Procedures/Administrative matters/Academic matters/Material Management and Practical experience of using relevant software.
  2. Assistant Registrar (Library)
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent B Grade in UGC 7-point scale along with consistent good academic record.
  • Master’s degree in Library Science with at least 55% marks or its equivalent B Grade in UGC 7-point scale with a minimum 8 years of experience, out of which at least 5 years’ experience in supervisory capacity in Level 7 Govt, Semi Govt recognized University/Technological Institution of national standing, Knowledge of Computerized library environment, Computer literacy and ability to work independently.
  1. Assistant Registrar
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent B Grade in UGC 7-point scale along with consistent good academic record.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Accounting, Auditing, Final Procedures, Administrative matters etc.
  1. Hindi Officer
  • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized University or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level.
  • 5 years of terminological work in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice versa/3 years of experience in Teaching, Research, Writing or Journalism in Hindi.
  • Knowledge of Sanskrit and Modern Indian language, administrative experience, organizing Hindi classes for noting and drafting.
  1. Student’s Counselor
  • M Phil. In Clinical Psychology/MA in Psychology/Clinical Psychology in 1st Class and 3 years of relevant experience for individual and group counselling in an educational institution or a mental health care clinic.
  • Training in Counseling technique and/or any therapeutic module.
  • Experience in counselling students of highly competitive residential institutes of higher learning.
  • Administrative experience in relevant counselling service set-ups.
  • Experience in counselling of abuse cases.

6. Junior Technical Superintendent (Translation)

  • Master’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level or vice versa, or
  • Bachelor’s degree with Hindi as a main subject with 3 years of experience of translation work from English to Hindi or vice versa.
  • Knowledge of Computer Education.
  • Hindi typing knowledge of computer in Unicode Font.
  • 2 years’ experience of translation from Hindi to English or vice versa in Central or State Govt offices including GOI undertaking.

7. Junior Technical Superintendent

  • M Sc./B Tech./BE in respective discipline as a specialist for different departments, or
  • B Sc. in respective discipline as specified for various departments with 2 years of relevant experience, or
  • Diploma in respective discipline from different departments for respective Board with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Computer applications.

8. Junior Superintendent (Centre for Nano Sciences)

  • Master’s in science with 5 years of experience, or
  • Bachelor’s in science with 7 years of experience.
  • Candidate should be able in drafting mails and letters, maintaining accounts, handling, purchase and import, procurement of items using E-Tender etc.
  • Exposure to coding and maintenance of websites will be preferred.
  • Expertise in preparing project reports, PowerPoint, presentations.
  • Candidates having experience in multiuser facility will be preferred.

9. Junior Superintendent

  • Master’s degree with 5 years of experience, or
  • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in R&D, accounts, audit, purchase, import etc.

10. Physical Training Instructor

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with Diploma in Coaching from reputed institutions, or
  • Master’s degree in Physical Education (2 years) course with master’s degree with 4 years of experience in coaching.
  • Two years’ experience in coaching Badminton/Basketball/Lawn Tennis/Table Tennis.
  • Representation of District/state or national level in the above fields.

11. Junior Technician

  • Bachelor’s Degree in respective discipline, or
  • Diploma in Engineering of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized institute.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.

12. Junior Assistant

  • Bachelor’s degree with knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks and 1-2 years of relevant experience in handling Establishment matters/R&D/Legal/Purchase and Import, accounts/audit etc.

13. Driver Grade II

  • 8th/10th with ITI/12th Pass with 3 years of driving having valid license to drive heavy and light vehicles.
  • Candidate should have at least 1o years of experience of driving and escorting senior officials.
