UPSC IES Exam Pattern
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Indian Engineering Services Examination (IES) in three Stages namely Stage-1 and Stage-2 and Personal Interview. While UPSC IES Examination Stage I and Stage II are conducted in Offline Mode on the other hand Personal Interview is taken Face to Face. UPSC IES Exam Pattern: Stages

UPSC IES Exam Pattern: Stage 1 Exam
This stage of UPSC IES Examination Stage I is Qualifying and Scoring in nature. Candidates who is going to call for Stage II will be six to seven times the number of vacancies. Marks of stage 1 will be included in final merit. UPSC IES Stage 1 Examination is scheduled to be held on 05th January 2020.

UPSC IES Exam Pattern: Stage 2 Exam
UPSC Engineering Services Stage 2 is both Qualifying and Scoring in nature. Candidates who is going to call for Personal Interview will be two times the number of vacancies. Marks of stage 2 will included in final merit. UPSC IES Stage 2 Examination dates are not declared yet.

UPSC IES Exam Pattern: Personal Interview
The Personal Interview of UPSC Engineering Services 2020 Examination is Qualifying and Scoring in nature. It is the last stage of UPSC IES Examination. It consists of total 200 marks.
This stage will test the skills in the following fields:
- Suitability of candidate for a career in public service sector
- Mental caliber or Mental alertness
- Leadership Qualities
- Initiative & Intellectual Curiosity,
- Mental & Physical energy and
- Other social traits and interest in current affairs
Note:-Â Final merit of UPSC Engineering Services Examination will be made on the bases of makes obtained by candidates in Stage 1, Stage 2 and Personal Interview.
