Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (HPTET) is conducted to employ qualified teachers in various schools under HP Board of School Education (HPBSE). The HPTET Application 2019 is for Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical/ Shastri/ L.T/ JBT/ Punjabi/ Urdu Subjects.

HPTET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification Criteria

1. TGT (Arts)– B.A./B.Com. with a minimum score of 50% and 1-year B. Ed. or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.)
2. TGT (Non-Medical)– B.Sc.(NM) with a minimum score of 50% and 1-year B. Ed or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or B.Sc. (NM Ed.)
3. TGT (Medical)– B.Sc.(Medical) with a minimum score of 50% and 1-year B. Ed or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% and 4-years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) or B. Sc. (Medical Ed.)
4. Shastri– Shastri with a minimum score of 50% from an awarding body that is duly recognized by H.P. Government
5. Language Teacher (Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi)- B. A. with Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi as an elective subject and 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education/1-year B. Ed. or B. Ed. (Special Education), OR M.A. (Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi) with a minimum of 50% score from a recognized University and 1-year B.Ed.
6. Junior Basic Training- 10+2 with a minimum score of 50% marks, and 2-years JBT certificate from a duly recognized Awarding Body, OR 1-year Diploma in Elementary Education, OR 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)

Age Limit Criteria-

• No upper age limit has been mentioned specifically by the Board for HPTET 2019.
• Relaxation up to 5% in minimum score in qualifying examination (HP TET ) – permitted to reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/PHH)

The Mode of Fee payment is online. The fee for each category candidate has been mentioned.

• General / EWS- Rs 800/-
• SC/ST/OBC/PHH- Rs 500/-

Instructions to Apply Online for HPTET 2019

1. Click the given link for HPTET Online Form 2019
2. As the new tab opens, Agree to the given terms and conditions and then click register
3. In the registration tab, enter the personal identity details asked
4. Click on Register link and fill the Online Application Form. Candidates are advised to note down his/her system generated Application Number. The candidate should supply all the details while filling the online Application Form and no columns shall be kept vacant. After successful submission of the data, Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining steps of the Application Form and also required for all future correspondence. For subsequent logins, candidate will be able to Sign In directly with his/her respective system generated Application Number and Date of Birth. This Application Number  and Date of Birth are required for subsequent operation(s); hence the candidate should keep a printout of the same with him for ready reference. Printout option for system generated Application No. is available on Website containing Transaction ID and Fee Detail
5. Candidate must upload his/her scanned images of Photograph and Signature. The scanned images of photograph, Signature should be in jpg/jpeg format only. Size of the photo image must be greater than 15 Kb and less than 20 Kb. Size of the signature image must be greater than 10 Kb and less than 15 Kb.
6. Candidate has to pay examination fee through online payment mode only. Payments made by any other mode (i.e. MISC or any other Head) will not be entertained.
7. Before making Final Submission, Candidates are advised to cross check all the particulars and credentials and make corrections before making Final Payments.
8. After Final Submission of the Online Application Form, candidate will take printout of his/her Application Form, and retain for future reference

HPTET 2019 Exam Pattern

HPTET 2019 Exam Pattern is same for all the subjects-Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical/ Shastri/ L.T/ JBT/ Punjabi/ Urdu Subject. Check below:

1. The mode of Examination is offline, that is Pen and Paper based test
2. There will be 150 objective type questions(MCQ)
3. Duration of examination is 150 minutes

HPTET 2019 Marking Scheme

• HPTET 2019 Exam will be an offline exam for 150 marks
• Each Correct Answer will give +1 mark
• There will be no negative marking in the test
• Minimum Qualifying Marks for HPTET Exam is 60%, which is 90 out of 150
