Gujarat Postal Circle Eligibility

Age Limit:

For Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Postman/ Mail Guard- 18 to 27 years as on 20.03.2020 (Age Relaxation for SC/ST- 10 years and for others- 5 years)

For Multi Tasking Staff- 18 to 25 years as on 20.03.2020 (Age Relaxation for Sc/ ST-10 years and for others 5 years)

Age relaxation for Government servants- Upto 35 years in case of MTS, Upto 40 years in case of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Postman/ Mail Guard

Education Qualification:

This recruitment is well applicable for candidates for 10th Pass jobs and above. For each post, specific requirements are mentioned.

Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant

• 10+2 pass;
• Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized computer training institute; Relaxable for candidates with computer as a subject in 12th Standard or in higher education

Postman/ Mail Guard

• 12th pass;
• Knowledge of local language, Gujarati;
• Should have Studied Gujarati up to 10th Standard;
• Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized computer training institute; Relaxable for candidates with computer as a subject in 12th Standard or in higher education
• Valid licence of a two-wheeler or LMV

Multitasking Staff-

• 10th pass
• Knowledge of local language, Gujarati;
• Should have Studied Gujarati up to 10th Standard;

Selection Process of Gujarat Postal Circle

Meritorious sports candidates are to be selected on the basis of Preference rules set by the Dept of Personnel & Training OM no 14015/1/76-ESTT.(D) dated 04.08.1980

1. First Preference: Candidates who have represented the country in International competition with clearance from Dept of Youth Affairs and Sports
2. second preference: Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory in the Senior or Junior Level National Championship Organized by the National Sports Federations recognized by the Dept of Youth Affairs and Sports or National Games organized by the Indian Olympic Association and have won medals or position up to the third place. Candidates winning medals will be preferred over the participated ones
3. Third Preference: Candidates who have represented a University in an Inter-University competition conducted by Association of Indian Universities/ Inter-Universities Sports Board and have won medals or positions up to third place in finals
4. Fourth Preference: Candidates who have been awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive
5. Fifth Preference: Candidates who have been awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National Physical Efficiency Drive
6. Sixth Preference: Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory/ University/ State School Teams at the Levels (II) to (IV) above but could not win a medal or Position in the same order of preference

How to Apply for Gujarat Postal Circle Recruitment 2020?

The application process is offline, where candidates need to submit the application forms.

• Application Fee is Rs 120 through Challan specifying “Direct Recruitment of meritorious sports persons in the cadre of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Postman/ Mailguard & MTS in Gujarat Postal Circle”. Original receipt thereof to be attached/ pasted to the application
