CTET Exam Date 2020: Central Board of Secondary Education has released the revised exam schedule for CTET 2020 which was earlier postponed due to the COVID-19 situation. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on 5th July 2020 in around 112 cities, however, due to the coronavirus effect, now the new exam date has been released i.e. 31st January 2021 and the exam is going to be held in 135 cities following the social distancing norms strictly. CTET Exam Date 2020
Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has released the revised CTET July 2020 Exam Date on 4th November 2020. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test would be conducted on January 31, 2021. New CTET Exam Centre
Keeping in view the difficulty faced by candidates due to COVID-19, the Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to give one time chance to the candidates for corrections in their option of the city from which they want to appear in the CTET examination. The candidates who wish to change their examination city can make on-line corrections from 07.11.2020 to 16.11.2020 up to 11.59 P.M. Every effort will be made to support the candidates in the cities opted by them but if the circumstance arises, they can be allotted any city other than the four cities opted by the candidates,” as per CBSE notification.
With CTET Exam Date the new examination cities are Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Bhilai/Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulandshahar, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Udham Singh Nagar.
CTET Exam 2020: Eligibility Criteria
There is no change in the CTET 2020 eligibility. Candidates who have qualified their Class 12 or equivalent with minimum 50% and has completed or is in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known) OR 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002 OR 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) OR 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* OR Candidates who have completed B.Ed are also eligible to apply for the Elementary teacher or Classes 1 to 5 provided they complete a 6-month course in elementary education.
