DRDO MTS Exam Date 2020: Defence research and development organization (DRDO) has released a notice to defer the DRDO MTS exam date till further notice. DRDO will release the fresh dates depending on the prevailing condition of COVID-19 and the guidelines of the government. The DRDO had released 1817 vacancies for the recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in various offices across the country @drdo.gov.in in.
The DRDO is one of the prestigious organizations of India, under the Ministry of Defence. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) one of the posts, comes under General Central Service Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Ministerial post within the Pay Matrix Level-1 (Rs 18000-56900) as per 7th CPC.

DRDO MTS Selection Process
The DRDO MTS Exam 2020 will be conducted in two tiers.
- Computer Based Test (CBT), For Screening Purpose
- CBT (Final Selection)
Tier I will be used for the screening of ineligible candidates to appear in stage II. There will be normalization of marks in DRDO MTS Tier I (CBT).
The marks secured by the candidates in Tier-II will be taken into consideration for the final selection or for the merit purpose. DRDO MTS Tier I and Tier II will be computer-based and will comprise of Objective Questions.

Marking Scheme For DRDO MTS Exam 2020
- The Score of Tier-I (CBT) may be normalized as per requirement.
- DRDO MTS Tier-I and Tier-II will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) only.
- There will be no negative marking for the wrong answers.
- The medium for the examination will be Hindi and English.
- Tier-1examination is for screening purpose and merit list and final selection will be made on the basis of the performance of the candidates in Tier-II.
Qualifying Marks For DRDO MTS Exam 2020
The Minimum Qualifying Marks for Tier-1 (CBT) is given below as per the category of the candidates.
- General/ESM/OBC Candidates: 40%
- SC/ST Candidates: 35%
On the basis of the Tier-1 (CBT) exam merit list, candidates will be shortlisted for appearing in Tier-2 (CBT) in the ratio of 1:10, i.e., Number of vacancies: Number of shortlisted candidates. However, candidates must remember that this ratio may increase or decrease depending upon organizational requirements.

General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability
Verbal: Number & Alphabetical Series, Odd one Out, Directions Sense, Words order according to the dictionary, Blood relations, Venn Diagram.
Non-verbal: Paper Folding & Cutting, Mirror Image, Embedded or Complete the Image, Counting Figure.
Questions will be based on the candidate’s knowledge of current events and of matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person.
The test will also include questions relating to India and its Neighboring Countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude & Numerical Ability
Number Systems, Decimals and Fractions, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Simple & Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Geometry, Time, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Data Interpretation, Partnership.
Questions will be based on everyday science will be asked. Latest inventions in Science and Technology, Elements and Compounds, Acids, Bases, Salts, Petroleum Products, Fertilizers, Pesticides, Nature of Universe – General Scientific Laws – Mechanics – Properties of Matter, Force, Motion and Energy, Light, Sound, Environment and Ecology etc.
Comprehension, Fill in the blanks, Synonyms, and Antonyms, Idioms, and Provers, Spelling/detecting misspelled words, Active and Passive Voice, Direct and Indirect Speech, Improvement of sentences, One-word substitution.
The topics for maths will be same as given above. However, the level of questions that will be asked in the DRDO MTS Tier II Exam will be a bit higher.
