IBPS has made a slight change in the “as on date” of the educational qualification eligibility to allow candidates who have graduated post lockdown to apply for this RRB recruitment process. IBPS Clerk 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the criteria for educational qualification and Age Limit as per IBPS Clerk Notification.

Educational Qualifications

  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet/ Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/ she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while applying online.

Computer Literacy

  • Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have a Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in computer operations/ Language/ should have studied Computer/ Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/ College/ Institute.
  • Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/ UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
  • Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculated Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 09.10.2020.  Such certificates should be dated on or before 09.10.2020.

IBPS RRB Assistant 2020, Exam will be conducted in two phases:

  •  Preliminary Exam
  •  Mains Exam

No interview process will be conducted for selecting candidates to the post of Office Assistant. Selection will be made purely on the marks obtained by the candidate in his/her Mains Examination.

There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect response marked by the candidate. The test will be objective in nature.

IBPS RRB 2020 Result

IBPS RRB Social Distancing Norms 2020

This time, exam centers will not display the candidates’ Roll Number and Room or Lab Number on their walls. Candidates will be informed about their Lab number in which they need to sit for the exam at the time of verification of Admit Card and ID at the exam center.

Candidates will be permitted to carry only certain items with them into the venue that are listed below:

SBI Clerk Mains Exam will be conducted online and questions will be framed on General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, and Computer Aptitude. Each question will be objective in nature and will be of 1 mark each. Candidates will be given 2 hours 40 minutes to complete the paper as follow:

After the candidates have appeared for the SBI Clerk Prelims and Mains Exam, the candidates will be shortlisted for the final appointment as SBI Junior Associates or SBI Clerk.

  1. SBI maintains a waiting list of up to 50 percent of the vacancies both state-wise and category-wise.
  2. Candidates will be offered an appointment from this waitlist on a quarterly basis if anyone does not join or resign.
  3. Only those candidates are selected from the waitlist who secures the minimum qualifying marks in the mains exam.
  4. The waitlist is valid for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the SBI Clerk final result.

Tie-Breaking Policy in SBI Clerk Result

In events where two or more candidates secure an equal score, the tie is resolved in the following manner:

  • Candidates belonging to the reserved category such as SC/ST/OBC/PH will be considered.
  • If the tie persists candidate who has fewer number of incorrect answers in all the subjects will be considered.
  • If the tie continues, candidates older in age will be considered.

What After SBI Clerk Final selection?

Candidates newly appointed as SBI Clerk or SBI  Junior Associates will be on probation for a minimum of six months. After the completion of the Probation Period, they will be converted into permanent employees. They will be paid a basic pay is Rs 13, 075 (Rs 11, 765, and two advance increments are provided to graduates). The basic total emoluments given to candidates at metro cities is Rs 26, 000.
