Bihar Board Class 10th Result 2020: Bihar School Examination Board Patna has released the Bihar Board 10th Result 2020. The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) is the body responsible for conducting the board exam and declaration of the Bihar Board 10th Result 2020. The Bihar Board 10th Exam was conducted from 17th February to 24th February 2020.
The fate of 15.29 lakhs of 10th standard candidates, who have appeared for the exam ha been decided today. The pass percentage is 80.59 per cent this year. Himanshu Raj Singh of Janta High School Tenuaj, Rohtas district has topped the Bihar Board 2020 Matric exams with 96.20%. The only girl candidate on the top 10 candidates’ list is Julie Kumari sharing the marks with fourth in the list, Rajveer with 95.60%.

Bihar Board 10th Result 2020
The country is under lockdown until 31st May 2020. Despite the lockdown prevailing in the country, the Bihar Board has finally declared the result for classes 10th and 12th. In view of the threat of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and in the larger interest of the candidate’s safety and well-being, the Bihar Matric Evaluation of answer scripts was delayed.

Bihar Board 10th Result 2020: Highlights
With the declaration of the Bihar Board Results, the candidates’ can heave a sigh of relief. Their curiosity and speculations have finally come to an end.
- Himanshu Raj has topped the exam with 481 marks (96.20 per cent).
- 41 students have got a place in the Top 10. There are 10 girls and 31 boys in the top 10.
- This year, the pass percentage registered a minor dip, touching 80.59 per cent, which was 80.73 percent in 2019.
- The only girl candidate in the top 10 list is Julie Kumari sharing the marks with Rajveer at 478/500 marks.
- This year, around 12.04 lakh students (12,04,030) students clear the Bihar board class 10 examination.

Passing Marks For Bihar Matric Exam 2020
As per the minimum marks criteria, students need to obtain a minimum of 30% of marks to be declared passed in the matric examination. Thus, a student needs to secure at least 30 marks out of 100 and an aggregate of 150 marks in total to pass the Class 10 Bihar Board exams.
The student has to pass in all subjects except English and optional subject (optional subject) to be declared a pass. In practical subjects including social science and science, a student has to pass in both theory and internal assessment (literacy activity and project work) altogether obtaining at least 30 marks out of 100.

Grace Marks Policy For Bihar Board 10th Result
In order to improve its pass percentage, the Bihar Board had adopted the grace marks policy for the class 10th candidates. As per the policy, if a student fails in one subject by 8 percent or less or in two subjects by not more than 4 percent in each, he/ she will be given the marks and promoted to the next class. On the other hand, if a student scores a total of 75 percent (aggregate) and fails in any one subject by less than 10 percent, then he/she is declared a pass.
Overall the candidates will have to score between 225 to 300 to secure the first division, while the second division will be awarded to students who will get equal or less than 225. In 2019 Bihar Board 10th Result, the topper Savan Raj Bharti had scored 97.2 percent marks.

Toppers Of Bihar Board 10th Result 2019
In 2019, Savan Raj Bharti a student from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya of Jamui district became the state-topper by scoring 97.2%. Savan scored a total of 486 marks in the 10th Bihar Board Results of 2019. The second and third position was bagged by Rounit Raj and Priyanshu Raj respectively. Of the top 15 students, 13 are from the Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya from Jamui.
