In August 2019, the Bihar government had issued a notification for the recruitment of 94000 elementary teachers but was withheld. The order was on hold due to the primary education directorate letter denying eligibility to candidates having 18-month D.El.Ed programme citing NCTE norms was challenged in the HC. After a recent verdict by Patna High Court in January in favor of the candidates, terming the letter of education directorate “illegal, unsustainable and violative of Article 14 of the Constitution”, the Bihar education department has decided to proceed with the recruitment.

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have completed the 18-month D.El.Ed Programme.
OR
He/She must have qualified the Central Education Eligibility Test or Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET).

Age Limit

The age limit of the candidates must be between 18-37 years as on 1st Aug 2020.

Note: Age Relaxation will be applicable as per Govt. Norms.
