AP Police SI Syllabus: AP Police Syllabus & Exam Pattern For Sub Inspector

AP Police SI Syllabus 2020: The Andhra Pradesh State Level Police Recruitment Board will conduct the recruitment for 11,356 vacancies of constables and 340 Vacancies of Sub Inspector (SI) in the year 2020. The official notification is expected to be released by the Board in the upcoming months. The last time recruitment was made for the post of Andhra Pradesh Police was in 2018. Therefore, on the basis of the previous year’s recruitment, check out the Andhra Pradesh Police SI Exam Pattern and Syllabus. The changes will be updated after the official notification is released.

AP Police SI Syllabus

AP Police SI Syllabus is discussed here in detail. The AP Police SI Exam comprises the following three stages:

  1. Preliminary Written Test
  2. Physical Measurement Test or PMT
  3. Physical Efficiency Test or PET
  4. Final Written Examination

The Prelims Test is of Objective type. The PMT and PET are to test the physical ability and endurance of the candidates. The Final Written Test will be of Descriptive Type Test.

AP Police SI Exam Pattern For Prelims

The AP Police SI Exam Prelims Pattern is discussed here. This is the screening round. Candidates who qualify this round will have to appear for the next stage. It consists of two papers each of a duration of three hours. The total marks is 200.

AP Police SI Syllabus For Prelims

The candidates clearing the Prelims will have to appear for the Physical Measurement Test. The AP Police Prelims Exam will have 2 Papers Objective in nature. The two papers are

  1. Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning /Mental Ability
  2. General Ability

AP Police SI Syllabus For Paper II

Paper II consists of 100 MCQ’s for a duration of 3 hours. The syllabus for Paper II General Studies is given below.

  • Current Affairs
  • Awards and Honours
  • General Science: Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany
  • History: Ancient, Medieval & Modern History
  • Geography of India with the main emphasis on the geography of Andhra Pradesh
  • Indian Polity and Economy

AP Police SI Physical Measurement Test

The candidates who will clear the Prelims Written Test will undergo the Physical Measurement Test or PET. The candidates should meet the following requirements:

AP Police SI Physical Efficiency Test

Candidates who fulfill the above mentioned PMT will now undergo a Physical Efficiency Test. This test is done to check the physical ability of the candidates. The candidates will be evaluated on a total of 100 marks.

AP Police SI Exam Pattern For Final Exam

The candidates who will pass each of the tests will then have to appear for the final written test. There will be four papers. The final written test will be of 400 marks each of three hours duration.

Questions in Papers III & IV will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu, and Urdu languages. Candidates have to answer the questions on an OMR answer sheet using a Blue/ Black Ball Point pen only. For this purpose candidates should bring Blue / Black Ball Point pens along with them.

AP Police SI Syllabus For Final Exam

The AP Police Syllabus For the Final Test will have Four Papers.

  1. English
  2. Telugu
  3. Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability
  4. General Studies

The total marks in this paper will be 400.

Paper I: English (Descriptive Type)

  • Precis.
  • Comprehension
  • Active and Passive Voice
  • Direct and Indirect Speech
  • Synonyms-Antonyms
  • Idioms and Provers
  • Letter writing.
  • Paragraph writing/report writing.
  • Translation from English to Telugu etc.

Paper II: Telugu (Descriptive Test)

  • Essay
  • Comprehension and Précis
  • Letter writing
  • Paragraph writing/report writing
  • Translation from Telugu to English

Paper III: Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning / Mental Ability

Arithmetic: HCF/LCM, Number System, Boats and Streams, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Time and Wages, Mensuration, Algebra, Partnership, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Average, Data Interpretation.

Reasoning: Verbal & Non-verbal, Analogy, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Direction, Problem-solving, Visual Memory Question, Paper Folding, etc

Paper IV: General Studies

This will include questions from GK. It will include static GK, Geography of India with particular emphasis on geography of Andhra Pradesh, Polity and Economy, General Science, etc.
