ICAI Exam 2020: Conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the ICAI Exam, better known as the CA Exam, are the exams for the students who wish to take up the profession of Chartered Accountancy in India.
In view of the safety of the students amidst the global pandemic COVID 19, the ICAI Exam 2020 has been postponed by the ICAI and has now been confirmed to be held between 19th June to 4th July 2020, as tweeted by Mr Dhiraj Khandelwal, the CCM of ICAI.

ICAI Exam Application Form
ICAI Exam Form: The candidates can apply for the ICAI Exam 2020 by filling the application form from the official website of ICAI, at https://icaiexam.icai.org/.
The students can apply for CA courses of any level by paying the regular fee on or before the last date of the application, 26th February. However, the candidates can still apply after the deadline by paying an additional fee of Rs 600.

ICAI Exam Registration
ICAI Exam Registration: Here Are The Guidelines To Register For The ICAI Exams:
Visit the official website of ICAI, to login or register as a new user. Fill in the required details like examination, Date of Birth, valid Email address, Mobile Number, etc. and complete registration.
Once this is done, you can now fill the application form according to the examination you are taking by logging in with the username and password that was shared through an email.
For filling the application form, select registration number from the drop-down and authenticate using course + SRN + DOB. After successful authentication, enter your e-mail id and mobile number.
You can now login with your registration number and password to fill up other details required and upload the essential documents. You can validate your mobile number and email id.
Complete the application process by making the fee payment using Debit Card or Credit Card (VISA or MASTER or MAESTRO/ RUPAY), Net Banking or Bhim UPI payment.
Download the filled form and keep a printout of it for future references. The candidates are also expected to get the Application Form attested by a Chartered Accountant or a Gazetted Officer or Principal of School/College.
ICAI Exam Admit Card
ICAI Exam Admit Card: The Admit Cards for ICAI Exams will be made available to the students 15 days before the commencement of the CA Exams. This can be downloaded by the students by logging in to their student portal using the registration number and password.
Admit card is an authentic document which will be verified to grant you entry to the exam centre. The admit card for ICAI Exam 2020 will have all the details of the students like name, photograph, signature, registration number and centre.
ICAI Exam Pattern
ICAI Exam Pattern 2020: There are many levels for this national level examination, and the aspirants are expected to clear all the levels in order to be a certified Chartered Accountant.
There are three levels of the ICAI Exams Pattern as according to the New Syllabus, which are Foundation, Intermediate and Final Exam respectively.
The CA Foundation course is a 4 paper examination, with first 2 subjective papers and 2 objective papers.
There are 8 papers based on the new syllabus and 8 papers based on the old syllabus for the CA Intermediate examination.
CA Final examination follows a similar structure with 8 papers each based on both the New Syllabus and the Old Syllabus.
The exam, also known as ICAI Exam, CA CPT, CA IPCC, CA Final is conducted twice every year as a pen and paper-based test in offline method with centres in 192 cities in India and 5 cities abroad. The total time duration of the exam is 3 hours, and the language of examination is English.
ICAI Exam Eligibility Criteria
ICAI Exam Eligibility: In addition to the Candidates who have passed Class 12th or equivalent examination from any school affiliated to the Central or State Board of Education before the examination, here are the eligibility criteria for each level of them. For the CA Foundation Course, the students are expected to have registered with the Board of Studies by 30th June or changed to CA Foundation Course with Board of Studies of ICAI by 7th September.
Candidates who have qualified the CA Foundation Examination or any equivalent examination only can appear for the CA Intermediate Course. The candidates who have registered for the previous Intermediate Examination as is mentioned in the syllabus under paragraph 2 or 2A of Schedule B or either any Professional Education (Course-II) or Professional Competence Course which was converted into Intermediate (IPC) Course/ Accounting Technician Course (ATC) and the candidates who have completed their graduation or post-graduation in any stream from any of the recognized institutes in India can apply for the CA Intermediate Course.
The prerequisite for appearing for the CA Final Examination is that the candidates should have passed the Intermediate examination or Professional Education Examination or PCC/IPCC to be able to apply for the Final exam. As on the date of filing the application form, the candidates are also expected to have completed their article training of 3 years or 3½ years or must be completing it in due course.
As for PE-II stream students and PE-II stream students converted to IPCC, they are expected to be pursuing their last twelve months of articled training, excess leaves included, and should have completed 3 years on or before 31st October of the examination year.
Considering the case of PCC stream students, the candidate must have completed their 3.5 years on or before 30th April of the examination year and should be pursuing the last six months of articled training including any excess leaves.
Same is the case for Intermediate IPCC students, wherein the candidate must have completed 3 years, unlike 3.5 years for PCC, by 30th April of the examination year.
For students who have converted from PE-II to PCC and the students who have converted from PE-II to PCC and further to IPCC, their article training of 3.5 years should be completed on or before 31st October of the same year of examination and must have been serving the last twelve months of training, excess leaves included.
