CDS or Combined Defence Service Exam is conducted twice a year by UPSC. This year CDS (II) is scheduled on 8th September 2019. To ace the exam, candidates must be well versed with the CDS (II) Exam Pattern (selection process) and syllabus. Let's have a look at the detailed CDS (II) Exam Pattern 2019.
CDS (II) will be conducted in two different steps
CDS (II) 2019 Eligibility Criteria
For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy

The Marks allotted to all the sections asked in Written Exam will be same.
Both the papers will be Objective Type Paper Only
There is Negative Marking in CDS (II) exam. 1/4th Marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate.
The Written Exam will be bilingual, i.e. the paper will be set in both English & Hindi
Candidates must attempt the paper on their own. No use of scribe will be permitted during the exam.
The Commission have discretion to fix qualifying marks in any or all the subjects of the examination
candidates are not permitted to use calculator for answering objective type papers
The SSB Process that is a major test to ensure your final selection will be conducted in two different stages:
Only those candidates who clear the stage I are permitted to appear for stage II.
Stage I: It comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception* Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on combination of performance in OIR Test and PP&DT
Stage II: It Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days
