Exam Pattern

The UKPSC Selection process consists of three primary stages mentioned below:

Stage 1: Preliminary Exams – The initial phase of the PSC exam in Uttarakhand consists of two papers: General Studies and an Aptitude Test. Successful candidates proceed to the subsequent stage, the main exam.
Stage 2: Mains Exam – The second phase encompasses seven papers in the PSC exam. Candidates’ performance is assessed based on cutoff marks established by the board. The top achievers advance to the interview phase.
Stage 3: Interview – Individuals who clear the preceding stages qualify for interviews conducted by the board, which carries a weightage of 200 marks. Selection is based on merit. Successful candidates undergo several months of training before assuming full-term employment.

UKPSC Exam Pattern for Prelims
The UKPSC Prelims Exam Pattern consists of two papers: General Studies Paper I and General Studies Paper II. Both papers consist of objective-type questions (Multiple Choice Questions). Paper I evaluates candidates on subjects such as History, Geography, Polity, Economics, and Environment. Paper II assesses candidates’ aptitude, logical reasoning, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Each paper has a designated weightage and duration. Candidates must surpass the cutoff marks set by the commission to advance to the mains examination.

UKPSC Exam Pattern for Mains;
The UKPSC Mains Exam Pattern comprises multiple papers, each addressing different subjects. Candidates are required to tackle these papers, typically characterized by descriptive questions. The mains examination encompasses papers on General Hindi, Essay Writing, and a selection of subjects determined by the candidate’s area of specialization or preference.
